Who doesn't love a good ol' fashion game of Tag?  I was tagged by sweet little Julia over at Loving and Learning in Pre-K aaaaaannnd Leanne Cooper over at Hangin' with Mrs. Cooper.  Ladies, YOU.ROCK.

12 Fun Facts About Moi:
1. I was named after a ballroom dancer on the Lawrence Welk show...
2. I ran track and was a gymnast {long, long, loooooong ago}
3. I love to sing & think I can sing - my family on the other hand has a totally different opinion : )
4. I am a napper and can sleep anywhere!
5. I craved pancakes and root beer during my pregnancy-that explains the 72lbs I gained >:l
6. I am a Colorado native, but I don't ski.
7. I love the book Walk Two Moons.
8. I have traced my genealogy back to 1614 - Sir Issac Newton is an ancestor of mine.
9. Growing up my best friend and I wanted move to California.  She was going to be a bartender and help pay my tuition to UCLA...we were also going to marry Matt Dillon, and C. Thomas Howell.  We LOVED the Outsiders!  Memories are awesome!
10. I could eat pizza morning, noon, and night.
11. I had big girl braces on in my mid twenties to help fix my TMJ - wasted money!
12. Daisies are my favorite flower.

Julia's questions for me:
1. What is your favorite subject to teach? Anything literacy based & science {especially in Kinder}
2. Do you have a SmartBoard in your classroom? I've had a board for 3 years now, and LOVE it!!!
3. How often do you use songs in your class? Music is on daily. Dr. Jean, Jack Hartman, and my own playlists including Jack Johnson, Bob Marley, The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, etc.
4. Are you married/single/engaged/etc.? I've been married for 20 years and have a 16 year old son.
5. What type of music do you listen to? My dad's a musician so I've been schooled in all types of music. I love it all!  {except some of the newer country music}
6. How long have you been teaching? I've been teaching for 12 years.  Two in pre-k and 10 in K.
7. What is your New Year's resolution? I don't make resolutions, I find that I'm already too hard on myself.
8. If you weren't teaching, what would you be doing? Being full-time mom and wife.
9. If you create your own materials for TPT or TN, where do you get your inspiration from? Soooooo many great teachers that I get inspiration from.  I just don't have the time to get it all posted to TPT...yet.
10. What is your favorite TV show? Dexter, Californication, Borgias, Desperate Housewives, and my guilty pleasure, Jersey Shore.
11. Do you have any pets? I have a cat.  We had to put our 12 year old lab down last year.  I.MISS.HIM!  Not ready for another pup yet.
12. What is your favorite recipe website? (I am going to need suggestions for when I become a wifey!) Pintrest!  Seriously, I have found about 7 yummy recipes in the last half hour.

Mrs. Cooper's questions for me:
1. What's your favorite candy? On the chocolate side-Snickers & peanut M&Ms - Skittles & Wonka's  chewy Sweet Tarts
2. Do you sell units, etc. on TpT? If so, how do you find the time to work on them?  My point exactly, I'd love to create that extra income, but just don't have the time!  Maybe this summer.
3. Who is your favorite children's author? Ooooh, this is a tough one...I'm gonna have think this one over.
4. What is your favorite subject to teach you kiddos and why? Literacy and Science
5. How long have you been blogging and how did you get started? Not quite a year.  April Larremore over at Chalktalk sparked my interest.  Still so much to learn.
6. What is your favorite dish to cook/bake? Baked Ziti and Chicken Enchiladas
7. What's your favorite way to exercise? Um...exercise is new to my vocabulary.  Kidding, actually I keep active with my soccer playing teenager.  Walking.
8. What is your favorite crafting activity? I like doing a lot of different crafty things...thanks to my momma.
9. How long have you been teaching and what grades have you taught? 2 years in pre-k and 10 in kinder. 
10. What is your middle name? Lynn
11. What is your most effective stress-reducing technique? (eating, exercising, music, sleep, etc) Watching a good ol' fashion romantic comedy, or hanging out with my besties!
12. When did you know you wanted to be a teacher? Since kindergarten but in the fourth grade it was a sealed deal - Mrs. Saenz was the best ever!

  2. That is so funny that you were named after a Lawrence Welk dancer! That brings back great memories for me of my grandparents watching that show. I also LOVE pizza!
