Christmas Hurrah (and posting in my pajamas)

Sorry for the late post friends.  But, I'm sure you can sympathize with the craziness that happens just hours before break.

We were able to get in a few cool activities between our Christmas program rehearsals, Mass, more program rehearsals, lunches, snacks, recess, and of course rehearsals.

Rudolph, Rudolph!
Here we made reindeer antlers using their handprints and cutting out red circles for their noses.

~beep ba-beep ba-beep beep beep~
We interrupt the regular school day to bring you to St. Pius X Catholic School's
Christmas Program Dress Rehearsal

My little Mary and Joseph are so stink in' cute???

......Back to our regularly scheduled events....

Finally Friday {last day of school until 2012}
We spend the morning making gingerbread houses with our 4th grade buddies.  It was a blast!

I also have some mini books that went along with the activities.  I will try to get them posted before next Christmas.  Merry Christmas my friends and a blessed New Year to you all!

Grinnin' Ear to Ear!

           Wow! I'm totally flattered that Sharon over at Ms. McBee's Kinder Bugs nominated me for a new bloggers award.  I haven't been blogging very long and know I still have a lot to learn!  I couldn't do it without all of you out there in teacher blog world!  Thanks so much for your inspiration!

Here are my five newbie picks. Enjoy!!

Happy Holidays Bloggy Buddies!

Thanks to Kristen over at Ladybugs Teacher Files for this incredibly cute button. I hope you all have a wonderful Holiday and I look forward to another inspirational year from all of my BBFs (bloggy best friends).

Busy Little Kinders

The hustle and bustle of this time of year tends to become overwhelming.  But these little darlings always bring the joy and the innocence back to Christmas.

We started our week off learning about elves...

This little elf made a pretty good s"elf" portrait...{I crack myself up}

Santa, Santa!

 We made these trees {from Little Giraffes}.  I have the kiddos take equal sized strips and glue them to the brown trunk.  Then we move from the bottom up and cut a little off each branch as we move up to the star.

I tell read the Legend of the Poinsettia by Tomie dePaola.  Then then they make a poinsettia of their own.

.....On to candy cane patterns....

Polar Express Day
I put together a "special delivery" from the North Pole that gets mysteriously left at the front desk and the receptionist.  Inside is a letter {see below} from the Big Man himself.  Also inside were frozen silver bells, one for each child.  I love the looks on their sweet, innocent, little faces as I read the letter and hand them each a frozen bell.

{Yes, I am wearing footed penguin PJs.  So comfortable!}
