Where in the World and CURRENTLY

Happy New Year friends!

We (Christopher and I) spent Christmas day flying to Florida for the Disney Showcase Tournament.  Our boys were 1-1-1.  Even though they didn’t take the tourney, it was a great opportunity to showcase talent in front of over 230 college coaches and play at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.




 We had a lot of downtime since our games were played early in mornings.  We hit Downtown Disney and Universal City Walk.  But Coco Beach was by far the biggest hit!  This is a great group of boys that carry themselves as responsible young men, but can still “hang” with the parents.  They keep us laughing!
 Here I am with some of my favorite soccer moms.  
These ladies are a hoot to hang out with!  
Our next couple of stops: Phoenix in February and Cincinnati in April.

It’s nice to be home!  I am so glad we don’t go back to school until the 7th.  Six days away from home over a break is a bit much.  Time to get the mind back in school mode.

This is my second CURRENTLY.  Thanks Farley at Oh'Boy 4th Grade-it is my goal to link up each month this year :)


I found this nifty little app-Gratitude Journal that I loaded on my iPhone.  Each night it sends me a reminder to jot down my “gratitudes” or “happies” from that day.  I read that if you write down, even the simplest of gratitudes from each day, it increases the positive endorphins in the brain that keep us happy.  So, go get your happy on! :)

    I have never been to Disney... I'm so jealous! Glad you enjoyed your trip. I may have to download that app. It really sounds like a great and beneficial thing to do. :)
